The style referred to through use of the
semantically vague and architecturally intrinsic term parametricism, or parametric architecture, is not a significant 'movement' because its enthusiasts have
yet to position their tools and experiments relative to the fundamental issues
inherent making architecture for society. An infusion of critical historical
and philosophical enquiry into their process might spontaneously hurtle their
output into tumultuous and productive dialectic with transcendent precursors.
The bulk of parametrisism’s
manifestations remain a series of aesthetic experimentation devoid of
critical temporal-contextual enquiry, hypothesis, antithesis and synthesis.
